Criteria for Membership of EuroACE
EuroACE is a grouping of like-minded companies working together to increase the uptake of energy-efficiency products, largely via specific legislative measures at EU level, as the most cost-effective route for the EU to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance security of energy supply and increase competitiveness.
The criteria for becoming a EuroACE member are:
- The member must be a manufacturer of materials or products which improve the energy efficiency of buildings by enhancing the performance of the building envelope or its internal services
- The member must operate at a pan-European level (that is manufacture and/or market in several countries of the EU)
- The member must support the purpose and objectives of EuroACE and be willing to actively help in achieving them.
In exceptional circumstances a European Trade Association may join EuroACE. This would be appropriate if the vast majority of the members of that Association each operated at national, rather than European, level. However, the Association's representative at plenary meetings would be expected to make decisions and commitments without consulting its members.
