The Energy Efficiency Industrial Forum (EEIF) was established informally in 2008 by a group of European industry associations active in the field of energy efficiency. The purpose of the EEIF is to provide one voice to represent a broad range of energy efficiency sectors on high-level messages, with the aim of increasing awareness of the strategic benefits of energy efficiency policy at European level and ensuring that energy efficiency measures remain the top priority for legislators. The EEIF signatories share the common belief that energy efficiency should be a key driver of the European Union’s policy.

The EEIF members support three agreed common messages:

  • That the EU energy savings target should be made mandatory;
  • That a more ambitious commitment to implementing existing EU energy efficiency legislation is required in the EU
  • That adequate financing mechanisms for energy efficiency must be put in place at a European level

Members of the EEIF include: CECED, COGEN Europe, European Copper Institute, ELC, Eurima, EuroACE, Glass for Europe, PU-Europe.

The Coalition for Energy Savings is an unprecedented gathering of 20 businesses, professional and civil society associations. The Coalition’s purpose is to make the case for a European energy policy that places a much greater, more meaningful emphasis on energy efficiency and savings. Te Coalition believes much greater action is needed at EU level on energy savings as a means of meeting the EU's short- and long-term economic, environmental and social challenges. It is advocating, in particular, for policymakers to make binding commitments to reduce energy use across Europe.

Members of The Coalition include: ACE, BPIE, CAN Europe, CECED, CECODHAS, ClientEarth, COGEN Europe, European Copper Institute, eceee, ECF, EEB, ELC, EU CLG, Eurima, EuroACE, Glass for Europe, PU-Europe, RICS, The Climate Group, and WWF.

Previous partnerships:

The ASIEPI project , Assessment and Improvement of the EPBD Impact (for new buildings and building renovation), provides technical advice to policy makers on how to improve the quality and impact of legislation governing the energy performance of buildings. EuroACE was a sponsor of the ASIEPI project.

The Energy Efficiency Watch is an  initiative spearheaded by European and national Parliamentarians with the aim of creating a platform to promote energy efficiency, in general, and more and better policy-making in that arena. The first phase of the initiative included an evaluation of the National Energy Efficiency Action Plans required under the EU Energy End-Use Efficiency and Energy Services Directive. EuroACE was a core-group member of the first Energy Efficiency Watch Initiative.
