New software modelling tool: Fuel Prophet

Policy makers, housing providers and homeowners want to take action to reduce soaring energy bills, mitigate climate change and improve energy security. EuroACE’s sister organisation, UK ACE, has produced Fuel Prophet , a tool indicating measures that can most effectively ‘fuel proof’ 21 typical and ‘hard to treat’ house types.
Fuel prices scenarios, budget constraints, grant availability and financing can be factored in. While Fuel Prophet is based on UK building and climatic data, it suggests an approach that could be adopted across Europe, in order to optimise its response to these new challenges in the residential sector.

New research on the benefits of solar shading published

EPBDatabase launched

An interactive database reporting on status of Energy Performance of Buildings Directive implementation in each of the 25 EU Member States. It is based on the findings of Rod Janssen’s Towards Energy Efficient Buildings in Europe report for EuroACE and updated regularly.
High-rise project website launched

To mark the publication of the Changing the View, the Changing the View project website has been launched – the summary report and interactive project website are both based on the findings from the International Energy Agency and EuroACE-funded research on Energy Efficiency in the Refurbishment of High-rise Residential Buildings.
