High-Rise project >> Finding a Way Forward >

Welcome to the second part of the Energy Efficiency in the Refurbishment of High-Rise Residential Buildings project website, Finding a Way Forward. There are three main sections in this part of the site:

An assessment of the political, financial, legal and social opportunities and barriers to integrating energy efficiency improvement into the refurbishment of high-rise residential buildings.
An illustration of the practical issues in energy efficient high-rise refurbishment, using six case studies from across Europe.
A set of recommendations for policy and for further research with respect to realising the potential energy and CO2 savings from the European high-rise stock by integrating energy efficiency into its refurbishment.
