EuroACE releases survey of financial and fiscal measures for buildings
EuroACE has released a working paper on the existing financial and fiscal incentive programmes for sustainable energy in buildings in the different EU Member States. The survey reflects the wide-range of measures that can be deployed to incentivise energy efficiency investment in buildings, as well as the great potential for information exchange and sharing of best practice within the EU. EEW publishes final report of NEEAP evaluation
The Energy Efficiency Watch (EEW), of which EuroACE is a Key-Supporting Partner, has published the final evaluation of the first round of National Energy Efficiency Action Plans (NEEAPs) submitted by Member States under the 2006 Energy End-Use Efficiency and Energy Services Directive (ESD). The report, written by the Wuppertal Institute and Ecofys, provides an overview of good practice in Member States, as well as providing recommendations for the 2011 submission of the second round of NEEAPs. Today is a good day for energy efficiency
The European Parliament has voted overwhelmingly in favour of its legislative resolution on the recast of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, paving the way for the all-important final agreement with Council by the end of 2009. Common Statement on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy
EuroACE has issued a common statement with Eurima (The European Insulation Manufacturers Association) and EREC (The European Renewable Energy Council) on the recast of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). EuroACE-commissioned survey calls for strong push toward very low energy standards for new buildings
A second survey on very low energy buildings shows the energy and carbon savings for Member States with a trajectory towards upgrading their Building Codes to require very low energy buildings to become the default standard for new construction. The recast of the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive should be used to promote a more ambitious move towards this level of construction across Europe.
